ITINERARY:
Depart 7 a.m. Samurai Temple 9:30–10:30 a.m. Shosenkyo 11:30– 2:30 p.m. (Lunch on your own & cable car ride) Return 6 p.m. The cost includes your bus transportation, temple admission, and the cable car ride. There will be a 1.2 km walk along the gorge to the ropeway station. You may choose to walk or stay on the bus to the ropeway station. This historical tour takes you to the burial place of Takeda Shingen, a renowned warrior and Samurai leader. This temple is also renowned for the exquisite garden crafted by Muso Kokushi, the esteemed high priest of the Samurai Age. Continuing to Chichibu National Park, you will ascend Mt. Kimpu, the highest peak in the park, via cable car, offering panoramic views of the Shosenkyo Gorge formed along the Arakawa River. Don’t forget your camera to capture the picturesque rugged cliffs and their fascinating formations.
